About Me

I am a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Working with and helping others has been a life-long pursuit of mine. As a teenager and college student I worked as a volunteer youth soccer coach at all ages and levels (from teaching the basics to elementary school kids up to competitive club soccer for high school aged young adults). I continued this passion as I had kids of my own, coaching for 10+ years again from the youth rec levels up to competitive high school club soccer.

During this time, I also became a licensed massage therapist and certified spin and TRX small-group fitness instructor. I continued this passion into an expanded role for massage therapy at several PT clinics in the Pacific Northwest, where I focused primarily on treatment-based massage for injuries and chronic pain. I really enjoyed the process and results of helping someone manage their conditions and achieve outcomes that allowed them to return to activities that they valued in their lives. But it was here that I also saw some of the challenges that may have contributed to these conditions: Stress, diet and nutrition, lack of activity, sleep, and more. I knew I wanted to find a role where I could help support the whole person.

That is what has brought me to health and wellness coaching. Over the last several years I have worked as a health and wellness coach for smaller medical clinics as well as a tenure as a health coach at Wild Health. I have supported hundreds of patients as the begin and travel through their health and wellness journey. I completed by health coaching training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, as well as completing a Precision Medicine Coaching Fellowship through Wild Health.

But I think what makes me unique as a health coach is that much like you, I am a work in progress. I have been a busy dad, with a demanding job and struggled to manage my weight and health. I have suffered through injuries that have set back training. I have had challenges with metabolic conditions and biomarkers that required significant and difficult changes in lifestyle. I have had to learn and practice the key elements of habit change, and I am currently exploring what is necessary to optimize my life for health and longevity. I would love to go on this journey with you together, and I hope you will reach out to me if you are considering change to help with your health and wellness goals.
